Mike is a highly accomplished financial services executive with over 20 years of experience leading teams across finance, accounting, operations, internal audit, and risk management. He spent 20 years at SunTrust Bank, where he held multiple senior leadership roles during a period of significant institutional growth, restructuring, and eventual merger with BB&T to form Truist Financial Corporation. Mike consistently demonstrated his ability to transform underperforming business segments, lead strategic acquisitions and divestitures, and build high-performing teams with top-tier engagement while functioning as CFO of the Wealth Management business line and Chief Operating Officer of GenSpring Family Offices.
In later years, Mike transitioned into audit leadership, where he served as Managing Director overseeing internal audit strategy for SunTrust’s Wholesale Banking and Wealth Management segments. He was entrusted with leading sensitive investigations, shaping enterprise risk assessments, and presenting emerging risks to the Board of Directors and Federal Reserve examiners. Earlier in his career, Mike played key roles in SEC and regulatory reporting, including complex M&A filings. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Barry University and was a Certified Public Accountant through 2019.
