Operating Partner
Byron is an Operating Partner with Redmont Capital and brings more than 35 years of financial, operational, and professional services experience to that role.
Byron currently serves as an Assurance Managing Partner for Stewart & Company. Prior to his current role, he spent 34 years at two of the world’s largest professional services firms, Ernst & Young LLP and BDO USA LLC, including 20 years as a partner. He has held a variety of industry and operational leadership roles, including Assurance Managing Partner, regional industry leader and national committee member for manufacturing and distribution, and Office Managing Partner. Throughout his career, he has advised public and privately held businesses across a range of industries, with experience in mergers and acquisitions, growth strategies, capital raising, business process improvement, and financial reporting.
Earlier in his career, Byron served as CFO of a privately held manufacturing company, giving him firsthand operating experience alongside his extensive advisory background.
Byron earned a B.S. in Accounting, magna cum laude, from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina and is a Certified Public Accountant. He enjoys spending time with his wife of over 30 years, their two daughters, and their grandson. He currently resides in Richmond, VA.
